چکیده

Abstract Leaf rust is a common and costly wheat disease. The introduction of resistance genes derived from wild relatives one way to improve disease control. However, due the rapid development virulence in casual pathogen Puccinia triticina , long-term effectiveness some leaf ( Lr ) questionable. To assess this, we examined 130 accessions 13 relative species Aegilops genus. presence 9 was determined by PCR using primers complementary gene markers. studied individuals were exposed artificial inoculation with P. under greenhouse field conditions, respectively. Based on infection rate, degree for each individual estimated. relationship between manifested assessed canonical correlation analysis (CCA) variance (ANOVA). Our results indicate effective participation Lr9 seedling while Lr58 involved adult plant resistance.

Molecular markers for leaf rust resistance genes in wheat.

Over 100 genes of resistance to rust fungi: Puccinia recondita f. sp. tritici, (47 Lr - leaf rust genes), P. striiformis (18 Yr - yellow rust genes) and P. graminis f. sp. tritici (41 Sr - stripe rust genes) have been identified in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) and its wild relatives according to recent papers. Sixteen Lr resistance genes have been mapped using restriction fragments length polym...

Aegilops tauschii Accessions with Geographically Diverse Origin Show Differences in Chromosome Organization and Polymorphism of Molecular Markers Linked to Leaf Rust and Powdery Mildew Resistance Genes

Aegilops tauschii (2n = 2x = 14) is a diploid wild species which is reported as a donor of the D-genome of cultivated bread wheat. The main goal of this study was to examine the differences and similarities in chromosomes organization among accessions of Ae. tauschii with geographically diversed origin, which is believed as a potential source of genes, especially determining resistance to funga...

Development of wheat genotypes possessing a combination of leaf rust resistance genes Lr19 and Lr24

Endopeptidase allele Ep-D1c and DNA marker-assisted selection have been used for the incorporation of Lr19 + Lr24 leaf rust resistance genes combination into adapted commercial winter wheat cultivars. The first step was the transfer of the gene Lr19 from the donor cultivar Agrus into acceptor cultivars Simona and Lívia. The progenies possessing the null allele Ep-D1c linked to the gene Lr19 hav...
